Susana Constantino
Susana Constantino has been the Executive Director of the Cardiovascular Center of the University of Lisbon (CCUL) since 2018. She is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL).
She graduated in Microbial Biology and Genetics in 1997 from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. 2001, she completed her PhD in Bases Fondamentales de l’Oncogénèse at the University of Paris. She did her post-doctoral studies at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon and the Gulbenkian Science Institute in Oeiras.
In 2008, she created the Angiogenesis Unit at the Institute of Molecular Medicine and, in 2014, at the Cardiovascular Center of the University of Lisbon (CCUL). In research, she has 30 articles published in scientific journals. Neovascularization, angiogenesis, and cardio-oncology are the main themes of her research.
