Elisa Keating
Elisa Keating is a researcher at the Center for Health Technology and Services Research (CINTESIS), where she leads the ProNutri research group and is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).
She has a degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (1999) and completed her PhD in Human Biology at FMUP in 2008.
As a researcher, she has signed 55 scientific articles and ten book chapters, co-authoring a chapter on maternal nutrition and obesity.
Since 2016, she has dedicated her work to studying the state of nutrients and non-nutrients during pregnancy (IoMum project) and childhood (Iogeneration project) and the effect of this state on various health outcomes. Nutritional biochemistry, metabolism, reproductive biology, and fetal programming are part of her research fields.
